Here is an interesting example of a Concept XXI project.
A client made a very large dollar commitment to purchase hardware to handle 92,000 concurrent test positions only to find out that the delivered software was unable to perform adequately.
Concept XXI was brought in to redesign the system architecture. We prepared a detailed design proposal within 4 weeks.
We built a simulator, created control and communications firmware for 405 single board computers running a simple real time operating system. This allowed for the distribution of load in order to meet performance requirements.
We developed a sophisticated HMI to allow the operator to monitor and respond quickly to any of the 92,000 positions.
We designed tools that allowed for quick and easy calibration, thus providing the client with a higher-quality product. We delivered a finished product that met or exceeded all performance requirements of the test equipment, within 9 months.
